The mission of check other records is to help artists who help themselves by providing knowledge, guidance and support in any way possible. We work with artists if we like their music (regardless of genre), like them as people, see that they work hard, and if we believe we can market them.

We like excellent and unique vocals and quirky genre bending styles. We're also big on lyrics and prefer meaningful content, the more political, spiritual or humorous, the better, but most of all, intelligent lyrics are a requirement.

We do not accept or support EPK's from a certain popular website, which we choose not to promote. We believe their "lottery system" is damaging to independent musicians. We ONLY accept hard copy, and we prefer to hear how you sound live.

While we are not actively seeking new artists, if you think you fit what we're looking for, feel free to submit a demo, we promise we'll listen, but we can't promise we'll get back to you right away. If we're interested, we definitely will. But we're a small label, so please don't call us a million times. Be sure to include contact info on everything you send. All we need is a photo, a demo a list of gigs past and upcoming.

While we are interested in supporting musicians from around the world, we are currently limited to supporting U.S. artists only, or artists who currently tour the U.S.
